No. ZAP Records online store is meant to serve our customers who live outside of our physical service area.

We use Canada Post Xpresspost, which takes 3-4 business days for delivery.

We use strong cardboard record mailers and boxes that are designed to ship vinyl.  All orders are packaged securely to avoid damage during shipping.  We give a great amount of care to ensure your vinyl arrives in the same condition it left.

At checkout you have the option to pay with a credit card through PayPal, or to send a money order or postal money order.

Yes.  We use SSL encryption on our website when storing your user account and shipping details.  Your payment information is never stored on our website.  When using PayPal and credit cards your information is processed through PayPals secure servers.  If you choose to  call us with your credit card information it is never stored or saved and transactions are processed in real-time with you on the phone.

Your information will never be sold or shared with any third party, except for PayPal when completing your purchase, as our website may share your shipping information and invoice total with PayPal in order to complete your transaction.

Yes.  As we currently only ship inside Canada, each provinces taxes are calculated accordingly, based on your shipping/billing address.  Tax is also charged on shipping fees as a standard practice.

We do buy previously owned vinyl and stock it in our physical locations.  As a rule we only buy previously owned vinyl from people who either bring it in to one of our locations, or that we can visit within a 100km radius, if the size of the collection demands it.

We are happy to special order releases for you.  Please visit our special order page to make a request.  We'll get back to you within 48 hours to let you know what is available and the associated costs.

All items found on this website are NEW and in most cases factory sealed.

Our stock comes directly from a distributor or record label.  Almost all items are factory sealed and have never been played.  In some instances an item is not factory sealed and come in a re-sealable plastic sleeve or in a standard sleeve. 

We can order CDs if the title you are looking for is available on CD.  Please visit our Special Order page and indicate CD when you send us your request.

In almost all cases the item's description will indicate 'coloured vinyl' and state the colour of the vinyl.  In some cases we do not know if the release is on coloured vinyl, or what the colour of the vinyl is.  Some releases are available in different colours and do not specify the colour of the vinyl.
